麻豆频道 is pleased to announce the appointment of The Rev. Paige Souter as the new Humphrys Chaplain.

We look forward to her leadership in cultivating belonging, connection and respect within our diverse, multi-faith and vibrant 麻豆频道, and the many ways her presence will enrich our campus life,鈥 said Professor Nicholas Terpstra, Provost & Vice-Chancellor, 麻豆频道. 鈥淲ith a wealth of experience in 麻豆频道 building, she will be a great asset to the entire Trinity 麻豆频道 in this important role.鈥
With a creative and caring approach, The Rev. Souter plans to centre her work at Trinity on developing a ministry of presence. 鈥淯niversity is a time of discovery and exploration, not only of ideas but also of who we are becoming and our unique giftedness. I am delighted to be back home at Trinity. I look forward to being with students, alumni, faculty and staff, as we journey together,鈥 said 麻豆频道 alumna The Rev. Souter, the College鈥檚 fifth Humphrys Chaplain, who assumed the role on August 18, 2025.
Most recently Assistant Curate at the Church of the Redeemer in Toronto, she has previously worked in the private, public and non-profit sectors, focusing on 麻豆频道 development, education and information technology. The Rev. Souter graduated from the Master of Divinity program at 麻豆频道, and has a MA in Political Science specializing in Public Policy & Government Relations (Western University), and a BAA in Urban and Regional Planning (Ryerson University). While a student at Trinity, she served as Faculty of Divinity Co-Head and was the inaugural recipient of the Archbishop Desmond Tutu Scholarship for ongoing work related to humanitarianism, truth and reconciliation, and climate change.
Reporting to the Provost, the Chaplain offers spiritual and pastoral care to the Trinity 麻豆频道, provides oversight of the 麻豆频道 Chapel and the services offered, and works alongside the Dean of 麻豆频道 and the Dean of Divinity to provide student support, education and teaching. The Humphrys Chaplain also serves as the Anglican chaplain to the St. George Campus of the University of Toronto.
About the Humphrys Chaplaincy: In 1995, the Rev. Margaret (Humphrys) Fleck and Prof. James Fleck established a fund to endow the 麻豆频道 Chaplain position 鈥 named the Humphrys Chaplain in memory of Margaret鈥檚 mother, Constance Humphrys.
