Wage Range: 2025-2026 rate is $19,641.41 (includes 4% vacation & subject to statutory deductions). 2026-2027 rate TBD.

Position Summary: Â鶹ƵµÀ is looking to fill the position of sessional instructor for TRN136Y Canadian Health Policy in the Global Context

TRN 136Y1—Canadian Health Policy in the Global Context

This course is scheduled for Wednesday 3pm – 5pm

This course explores public health policy in Canada and connects it to the global political context. We study the evolution of Canadian healthcare into its current form and then turn to international institutional arrangements that offer different approaches to a range of health policy challenges, including universal health care, antimicrobial drug resistance, infectious disease, non-communicable diseases, maternal newborn and child health and environmental health. TRN136Y1 provides 0.5 FCE towards breadth requirement 3 (Society and Its Institutions) and 0.5 FCE towards breadth requirement 4 (Living Things and Their Environment)

¶Ù³Ü³Ù¾±±ð²õ:ÌýThe instructor will develop a curriculum and materials before the course begins; teach the weekly class; mark the assigned work by the grade deadline as well as any student work that comes in late; hold two weekly office hours; attend Trinity One co-curricular events, which are held several times a term at 1pm on a Tuesday; attend faculty meetings.

²Ï³Ü²¹±ô¾±´Ú¾±³¦²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô²õ:ÌýPh.D. or equivalent in political science, medicine, bioethics, public health, or a related field. Preferably experience teaching first-year students and seminar courses. An excellent teaching record.
